The artist Luiza Margan talks about her two-part exhibition-contribution „Outside the Role: Work Force“ and „Outside the Role: Rehearsal“ and will also provide information on possibilities, ideas and potential dangers in re-enacting the former demonstration in Graz of the artistgroup TOK from the year 1972 and her gerneral artistic practice and recent projects.

In the work the artist Luiza Margan examines the conditions and value of immaterial labor in the process of artistic creation. In a research driven process, the artist explores modes of representation of labor within art as well as the specific relationship of artwork and audience. In this line, the exhibition space serves as a stage for reviewing different roles in which artistic work and its various modes of production can be articulated and communicated.
