On Saturday, 31.10. the Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien invites you to a Rorschacht test workshop! After a short overview tour through Herbert Brandl's current exhibition "24/7", in which we will focus especially on his ink works, we will start experimenting together: The Rorschach test (ink blot test, actually: Rorschach form interpretation test) is a project-related "playful" test procedure of psychological diagnostics and personality psychology. The test goes back to the work of the Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Hermann Rorschach (*1884–1922), who developed his own personality theory and later combined it with the theories of the Freudian school. The test is controversial due to the lack of quality criteria of psychodiagnostic procedures, but we do not take it too hard and explore together whether we can discover butterflies, skulls or giant trees in our blobs. Thematically we orientate ourselves on Halloween and search for deeper meanings of the created motifs.
The provided materials like ink and paper can also be used for free drawings and paintings, inspired by Brandl's works or our own imagination.
