Discover new facets of the Graz-based artist Herbert Brandl in the current exhibition "24/7," curated by Sandro Droschl. The focus is on the intermedia in Brandl's work: the exhibition shows his last cycle from 2020 (24 monotypes) next to an early cycle (7 ink works) from the 1980s in a juxtaposition, each of which seems to be painting but isn't—or is it? Brandl's works once again invite us to question painting as a medium: What constitutes a painting? What makes a “good” picture?
