In her lecture the director of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum Andrea Schmidbauer will speak about the roles of women and men, from a cultural-scientific perspective, and therefore refers to the exhibition "Rage Fluids" by Hannah Perry. In addition to references to her own personal experiences, the British artist deals in her practice also with clichéd ideas of masculinity. Arnold Schwarzenegger refers to a symbol of masculinity, not at least since his career as a bodybuilder. In this Art Day’s Night Andrea Schmidbauer will speak about the experiences she has gained over the years in her function as the director of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum.
Andrea Schmidbauer (* 1973 Vienna) studied Business Administration, European Ethnology and Marketing. Since 1994 she has worked in the advertising industry and in various companies. As a gender representative, she has been supporting the Austrian Ministry of Sport and the Chess Federation since 2011. Since 2016, she is the Director of the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum in Thal.
