As part oft he program aktuelle kunst in graz, TRAUMAWIEN will present one of its “rave lectures” at the Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien. As it says in the program, the rave lecture is a functioning synthesis of acid techno, industrial, and new forms of literature. Prior to that, the Künstlerhaus KM– invites you to take a tour of the exhibition.
TRAUMAWIEN was founded in April 2010 by Luc Gross, Peter Moosgaard, and Julian Palacz. The art project is a hybrid publishing company, oscillating between “making analogue books” and creating digital publications and interventions. Since its founding, the group has published around thirty titles of conceptual digital literature, including classics such as American Psycho. Among other things, TRAUMAWIEN floods Amazon’s Kindle direct publishing platform with Youtube dramatic literature in e-book form, or contaminates exiting e-books with advertising slogans, which are in turn published on Torrent markets. TRAUMAWIEN has been producing the Artclub Rave Lectures since 2011. In the summer of 2013 the rave lecture was one of the main acts at the big festival for new literature, Prosanova.
“Traumawien’s karaoke rave night is certainly the most radical presentation at the Prosanova literature festival. An experiment, also for the producers.” (Deutschlandfunk, 2014)
