The artist Claudia Märzendorfer (grew up in Graz, lives in Vienna) talks with Sandro Droschl about her current exhibition “72 km+” and argues the relevance of the ephemeral as well as her dealing with volatile installations such as precarious ice sculptures and temporal wall drawings in her artistic practice. Using the example of her knitted sculptures she created over a period of eleven years, the group of work “silent running” (since 2005), Märzendorfer and Droschl discuss the general sense of time and question critically the efficiency-driven and market-oriented society.
