In the artist talk, Ute Müller (*1978 in Graz, lives in Wien) and Jürgen Dehm will speak about her solo exhibition conceived for the lower floor of the Künstlerhaus. Articulate visual bodies of sculpture and painting make up Ute Müller’s sensitive, delicately harmonious oeuvre. She skillfully plays with painting, history, and reference, without missing specifics as she wrestles with form, idea, and presentation. In a slow dance through Müller’s visual spaces, an attempt to grasp it all becomes palpable, although she does not reveal her cards prematurely.
Ute Müller (b. 1978 in Graz, lives in Vienna) studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and at the Royal College of Art in London. She is a founding member of Black Pages: http://www.blackpages.at.
