In a tour through the exhibition „Sound and Smoke – a Revue in Pictures“ the curator Sandro Droschl gives an insight into the comprehensive artistic practice of Stephan Dillemuth. On the example of single works, the curator approaches the group of themes presented in the show such as painting as a tradition-bound medium of representation or the practiced artistic means. To what extent Dillemuth creates a new way of presenting his oeuvre by setting up site-specific scenes and how he challenges the role of the artist in today’s society are questions that will be discussed throughout the tour.
