In his talk Paul Feigelfeld presents his investigations of paradigms, politics and paranoia in the tectonics of technological platforms. Body diagrammatic after Instagram, Facebook and facial recognition, machine intelligence and human stupidity between art and the artistic define a techno-nostalgic condition, which will be looked at critically.

Paul Feigelfeld is a media theorist and currently the Data & Research Architect of TBA21-Academy at Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary. He holds a guest professorship at the Art Institute in Basel and teaches at the University of Basel, at the Strelka Institute in Moscow and other institutions. In 2019 he is guest curator at the Vienna Biennale as well as part of the project “Das Neue Alphabet“ at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin.
