What would it be like to live a life as an artist, and how? Is it sleepwalking or a stubborn self-assertion? How can you link literary, scientific and philosophical considerations with art? The artist duo Ruth Anderwald and Leonhard Grond use film as a tool to visually discuss the present with all its contradictions. Because precisely the recording of images corresponds to a continual modelling of reality. In this book, Ruth Anderwald and Leonhard Grond collect their collective film work since 1999 together with articles by authors who have accompanied them over the years.
On this evening, together with the graphic artist and co-publisher Christian Hoffelner, Ruth Anderwald and Leonhard Grond will present their book, published by Spector books Leipzig in 2013, and talk about their film work together.
