As part of the celebratory closing event of the exhibition “Salon Steiermark,” the audience award will be bestowed upon one artist of the exhibited positions. During the duration of the exhibition format, which considers itself a cross-section of the artistic production of the artist associations in Styria, the visitors are invited to cast their vote on the presented selection of artworks. After the presentation, there will be an artists’ talk with the award recipients of the three categories main-, advancement- and audience-award. Subject of the talk, under the guidance of junior curator Jana Franze, will be biographical as well as subject-specific influences in the works of the artists, as well as the origination process of their many-faceted artworks.
