The precise and pointed work of artists like Keren Cytter and Darja Bajagić implicates an intense challenge in the process of curating their complex solo exhibitions. Both artists represent „strong“ conceptual positions, which by no means are afraid of controversial approaches to current phenomenons of society, but articulate their distinct ideas in a sensitive way. The present architecture of the Künstlerhaus allows the creation of a pavilion-like environment, where on two levels, one respective artistic position is presented with site-specific constructional and conceptual stagings. A major concern of the institution is the realization and presentation of new works, publications and auxiliary program accompanying the exhibitions. In the frame of a curator’s guided tour through these exhibitions, Sandro Droschl will introduce Keren Cytter’s and Darja Bajagić’s projects and discuss open questions.
