In conversation with Christian Egger, the artist Sascha Reichstein discusses the center of her work as an artist and the essential confrontation with cultural shifts and the intriguing relationship between tradition and rejuvenation. Reichstein’s works begin with regional contexts that expand into the rest of the world through transmissions, translations, or networking. In this exhibition this can be seen in "The Tradition of Production," which features a pair of leather trousers industrially produced in Sri Lanka. Additionally, the artist provides a preview of her upcoming book published by De Gruyter. "Dayli Production" contains an essay by Christian Höller and a conversation among Synne Genzmer, Ilse Lafer, and Sascha Reichstein.
Sascha Reichstein, born in 1971 in Zurich, lives and works in Vienna.
