The cinematic works of Karø Goldt (Berlin) are always influenced by a very individual aesthetics, which she paraphrases with the term “photo-film”. Starting point are singular photographs, film shootings in the literal sense do not exist. Her pointed selection of objects (flowers, tactical aircrafts etc.) respectively alludes to a challenging of the common perception, which is avoided sustainably by an abstract progressive process: the video SLANT starts out from an analysis of colour intensities, of which the high-contrast density, through the long term cooperation with the duo rashim (Gina Hell / Yasmina Haddad, Vienna), unfolds an additional quality with the interaction of image and sound level.
