On the occasion of the exhibition THE POWER OF SURPRISE by Konrad Kager at Raum D, located in the basement floor of the Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien, another fanzine has been published. The publication includes visual material of the artist’s previous work, as well as an explanatory introduction by curator Christian Egger. Konrad Kager’s (born 1976 in Graz, lives in Vienna) artistic practice involves current questions of perfomativity and its utilized objects and tools. The subjectivity of his artistic point of departure is subjected to review in a way that is just as critical as the audience, eventual moments of the auraticisation of objects and aids, myth-fostering elements of solo artistry, and the industrial framework of his performances.
